ULTRA+ Frameset

The new Ultra+ was designed with the famed Transcontinental Race in mind, where course choices typically feature mostly sealed roads, with isolated gravel parcours when required by the race rules. The Ultra+ is built for long days in the saddle and comfortably sits between road and gravel.

This is not a gravel bike pretending to be a road bike. And not a road bike with a token amount of tyre clearance. It is a true all-road bike and our modern interpretation of the beautifully classic randonneur bike. It will perform perfectly well with a wide slick road tyre as an endurance road bike, but the Ultra+ gives you the versatility for a lot more.

Compared with the much-loved Ultra, tyre clearance is up: 40 mm with fenders and 45 mm without. The frame is still designed to handle mid-compact 2x groupsets, even with the improved tyre clearance.

The geometry has also been reworked carefully across the size range. The geometry for each size has been agonised over. On the smallest sizes, close attention has been paid to toe-overlap without adversely affecting handling. On the largest sizes, the front end has been relaxed for a more natural riding position. Across all sizes, the seat stays are more minimal than the Ultra, adding even more comfort for endurance missions.
