How do I clean a carbon rim?

Gentle soap-based and bicycle-specific cleaning products usually work well. Do not use harsh chemicals and caustic truck-wash products. Always rinse well with water and dry the wheel/bike after washing.
Even some bicycle-specific cleaners can cause damage to clear coats and paint if not rinsed off properly (we're looking at you, Muc-Off), so use these products with the appropriate care and caution.

I use a rear-mounted bike carrier - what do I have to think about?

Rear-mounted carriers are common and a very handy way to carry a bike on a car. However, care must be taken to ensure no parts of the bike, especially carbon fibre parts, are near the exhaust.
Exhaust fumes are hot enough to melt the resin in a carbon fibre product, even when the product is not directly in front of the exhaust. We do not warranty carbon fibre products that have been damaged by exposure to excessive heat.

My tubeless setup is losing pressure. What's up with that?

Tubeless setups are great and will save you from many flats thanks to the sealing properties of the latex-based sealant we use (Joe's Super Sealant). But they're not faultless. A new tubeless setup needs a bit of time so the sealant can do its thing - for best results, we recommend going out for a ride to let the sealant splash around inside the tyre.
If you don't ride the bike for a while, it's normal for the tyre to lose some pressure.
Check your tyre pressure before every ride!

FAQs

What tyres can I run? Any 700c x 25–45 mm or 650b x 47–55mm (1.8–2.2") tyres – as long there is enough clearance in your frame/fork! We recommend you get your Grav ALs set up tubeless, but you can still use tubes if you like.
Why only 28h? We believe 28 holes is ideal for most all-road, off-road and light touring applications.
