USA TARIFFS UPDATE

Dear US-based Curve customers,
We dispatch orders from Curve HQ in Australia, and our assembly centre in Taiwan.
Curve Cycling-branded products’ country of origin is usually either Australia, Taiwan or China.

The latest tariffs imposed may have a significant impact on the total cost you will pay.
Items imported into the United States are subject to import duties, tariffs and taxes when the total order value is over USD 800*, please see below for the applicable duties and tariffs.

For example, bicycles are subject to an 11% customs duty, and most other bicycle related items are subject to duties between 3.9% and 10%. You can find individual duty rates here: https://hts.usitc.gov/, under “Chapter Heading 87”.

In addition to the standard customs duties, there is a 10% tariff for all goods originating in Australia.
Some complete bicycles, some framesets and some wheelsets originate in Australia.

For goods originating in Taiwan, the additional tariff is 10%.
Some complete bicycles, some framesets, some alloy wheelsets, alloy p&a such as rims & handlebars, axles, and other p&a originate in Taiwan.

Lastly, some Curve Cycling items originate in China - these goods include carbon handlebars, carbon rims and wheelsets, forks, titanium accessories such as seatposts and clamps, and some framesets.
The additional duty imposed on China-originating goods is 125%.
This is in addition to the duties imposed on China-originating goods from the 2019 update to Sec. 301 of the Trade Act 1974 (more information: https://hts.usitc.gov/, under “China Tariffs”), which affects some Curve Cycling frames and forks, and rims with a 25% duty, and other remaining items listed above with a 7.5% duty. This is also in addition to the 20% duty introduced on March 4th (more information: https://hts.usitc.gov/, under “Chapter 99”, 9903.01.24).
This means that your order may be subject to upwards of 100% duties and tariffs on the original product price, IF your total order value is over USD 800*.

For our US-based customers, we are endeavouring to assemble and ship all bicycle and frameset orders from Curve HQ in Australia to reduce the impact of these new tariffs.

*The De Minimis threshold has been abolished for imports from China from May 2nd, 2025. All import duties, tariffs and taxes apply to orders of any value that ship from China from May 2nd, 2025.
