Packing for a trip like the El Gaucho Argentina Expedition can seem a bit daunting. Even though the trip is fully-supported, and our expert guides are there to help, you still have to carry everything you need to get through the day. Curve’s Sales Manager, Liege, just rolled back from the last expedition and here he is unpacking his bike exactly as it was. We didn’t even give him time to clean it.
So here is what he packed for the big days in Argentina…
Top Tube Bag
This is for the essentials you always need quick access too. The 1.1L Tailfin Flip Top Tube bag is his preferred choice for easy to grab bits on the go.
- MAAP Alt Road gloves
- Buff
- Sunscreen
- Electrolytes
- Snacks (Clif Bar, lollies, etc.)
- Sunglass cleaning wipes
Frame Bag
The Tailfin Frame Bag Wedge Frame Bag is perfect for some extra food storage, tools and other ride essentials that might be needed through the day, but you don’t necessarily need on the go. Also storing heavier items like tools or electronics, lower and in the centre of the frame can help to avoid affecting the handling of a loaded bike.
Almost all of these essentials can be found HERE or at Curve HQ.

Liege is using an Apidura Saddle Bag and then inside for some more security from the rain, Liege stores all of this inside a Sea-to-Summit Dry Bag.
