Here at Curve we strive to make all of our bikes adventure-ready straight out of the box. And with the recent news of updated SRAM groupsets, we’ve taken the time to update the build kit on our flagship gravel bike, the GXR4, better known as “Kev”.

The updated SRAM E1 Rival and Force levers now come stock on all GXR4 completes, combined, as always, with the corresponding level Transmission rear derailleur to enable the use of a 10-52t cassette, for all the climbing gears you could ever need. One of the updated features of the GXR4 is the new UDH-dropout, making Kev compatible with all the latest T-Type/Full Mount derailleurs from SRAM, as well as hanger-mounted derailleurs. The new lever shape and updated braking ability of the latest generation SRAM groupsets improve rider ergonomics and braking power from the hood position. These changes come in very handy when riding more technical terrain. Once you get used to the one-finger braking, you won’t want to go back!

Along with the groupset upgrades, the GXR4 now comes stock with 50mm wide Vittoria ‘Terreno Mixed T50’ tyres, the maximum recommended tyre width for the GXR4, further adding to the ‘do anything’ DNA of this highly versatile frame model. Wider tyres allow lower pressure and more comfort across a range of surfaces, ultimately improving ride quality.

Both of these updates combined make Kev more adventure-ready than ever! So whether it’s a spin on your local gravel trail, a weekend flashpack, or riding across a continent… Kev has you covered!
