The Rhino Run is back for 2026! Rhino Run is an ultra-endurance, unsupported gravel bikepacking race from Windhoek in Namibia to Graaff-Reinet in South Africa; no entry fees, just you and the mirror. However you want to ride it, this is your chance to see some of the most incredible countries in the world on your bike.

Starting on Oct 12th, 2026, at 6:22 a.m and pre-registration is open at Rhino-Run.com.

The change of direction for the route now running from Namibia to South Africa, aligns the Rhino Run with not only the Curve South Africa Expedition but also brings you to the start town of the Gravel Burn, if you haven’t had enough adventure, in time to race!

This year's route is an EPIC and you can take a look at it here!

Love the route, but after some support?

Want to experience the incredible riding South Africa has to offer, but with the help of our Expedition team? Our Commute to the Gravel Burn South Africa Expedition is a fully supported, multi day, gravel tour following the latter stages of the Rhino Run route and finishing at the Plettenberg Bay.

This expedition is designed as a bucket list adventure. Built for those adventurous cyclists who wish to not just witness but ride through some of the most scenic landscapes in the world. This expedition will challenge riders with tough but realistic distances each day

You can expect to see wild Springbok and even giraffes drinking at the watering hole from your room, eat traditional South African “braais”, some home-cooked candlelit dinners in 500-year-old guest farms and dine under the stars, whilst seeing the rugged Western Cape from your bike!
