How to:
1. Print the PDFs (set scale to 100%, not "fit to sheet").
2 .Check the size with a ruler using the handy "scale check" on the print. If it's a few millimeters off, it's not a big deal.
3. Cut out the shape of the guard with a bit of material around it, so there's a place to stick the tape. NOTE: The front template would not fit on an A4 sheet, so you'll have to cut out the two pieces and patch the template to form the actual shape.
4. Sticky tape the template to the polypropylene sheet.
5. Use the drill to make the holes for the cable ties and on the tight inside corners for the rear guard "wings" and the front guard slots.
6. Cut along the outline with the craft knife (BE CAREFUL) - it is not necessary to get a clean cut all the way through. It's possible to fold along the cut and tear the excess off once the shape has been cut into the sheet.
7. Clean up edges as you see fit and use the scissors to round off any sharp corners.
8. Fit to bike.
9. DONE! GO RIDING IN THE MUD.
