At Curve Cycling, we believe bikepacking should feel accessible, welcoming and empowering, especially for riders who are traditionally underrepresented at the start line of bikepacking adventures.
That’s why we’re launching the Curve FLINTA*850 Scholarship.
The Curve FLINTA*850 is a self-supported off-road bikepacking adventure through the Victorian High Country. Designed by Curve’s own April Drage, the route begins in central Melbourne before heading deep into some of Victoria’s most rugged and rewarding terrain.
This is not a race. Inspired by Lael Wilcox and her community-focused rallies, the FLINTA*850 is about personal challenge, connection and shared experience. Riders will tackle remote gravel roads, long climbs and changeable conditions, all while moving at their own pace alongside like-minded people.

Why We’re Offering a Scholarship
We know that getting to the start line of a bikepacking event can be expensive. Between bike prep, camping equipment, navigation devices, riding gear and the cost of staying fuelled along the way, the barrier to entry can feel significant.
To help make the FLINTA*850 more accessible, we’ll be supporting two scholarship recipients with a package designed to help them confidently take on the ride.

You don’t need to be a professional rider, influencer or ultra-endurance veteran. We’re looking for people who are excited by adventure, community and most importantly, committed to this challenge.
In true Curve fashion, humour is highly encouraged.
Scholarship recipients will also be asked to document parts of their journey through photos and a short post-ride blog reflecting on their experience.
To be eligible you must; identify as FLINTA* and be entered into the Curve FLINTA*850
